Description
One of the »natural caves« (CRAVEN 1969: 25 after FRANCIS 1904) in the vicinity of –>Adoni (note 1) is said to be situated somewhere near a village called Peddatumbalam.
NOTE 1: The modern Adoni (N15°37'30”: E77°17'00”: 423 m asl, Everest 1830, Survey of India sheet: 57-E/06) and the former Advani is said to be properly spelled »Âdhvani« (SEWELL 1900 edited 2004: 33 note 2) and corresponds to the »Odnee« of FIRISHTA (circa 1570-1611 edited by SCOTT).
