Tham Lom 2 [CM0305]
19.763472,98.908983
Location
Tham Lom 2 is to the north of Wat Tham Pha Hok. The cave crosses the Myanmar border, with entrances on either side.
Description
This is the next upstream section of Tham Lom. The entrance is a collapse and by following the draft one reaches a stream which flows south. There are direction arrows on boulders and two Buddha statues in the main passage. In both directions (north and south) it is choked by massive boulders. The south choke can not be passed. However, the north one can be climbed to a second entrance which is in a doline just into Myanmar, visited by the SpeleoDAO 2015 expedition, where there is a fine relict cave. This new entrance is opposite to this cave. The doline was investigated to try to find the way into the upstream continuation of the cave, but without success.
History
2017-02 Cave was explored and surveyed by the Expe DAO 2017 expedition.
