CIRCULAR ENTRANCE CAVE
28.791700,83.783300
Description
The black shadow of a circular entrance high up in the south face of the mountain ridge between the Lupra Chu (note) and its parallel tributary to the south is visible when approaching from Jomosom. CAVE POTENTIAL: An interesting climb up is necessary to reach the cave entrance which may represent the relic tube of an abandoned stream cave passage. Since the cave lies on the southern side of a Nilgiri Limestone (Jurassic Jomosom series) that dips to the north, gravitational origin seems to be unlikely. The black shadow of a circular entrance high up in the south face of the mountain ridge between the Lupra Chu (note) and its parallel tributary to the south is visible when approaching from Jomosom.
