Description
An unidentified natural cave, which is an estimated 5 m long and complete with a cave legend, reported Glennie (1939 Mss: Preliminery [sic!] report …, pages 7-8) from an unspecified location somewhere in the vicinity of the village of Naldera (N31°11': E77°11'): Coming back from trek and about 100 miles from the place I began to hear from all and sundry about a cave at Naldera near Simla into which a cow strayed and was followed two miles [3.2 km] above ground by the sound of its mooing. Arrived at Naldera I found a man, who said -Oh yes it was my cow, at least it was a calf. I went in about 10 feet and I pulled it back by its tail!- He showed me the place which was a small passage about 15 feet [5 m] long [and] just big enough for a calf. The legend about the cow is now [May 1937] permanently established all over the area.
