Description
A so-called 0.15m. stream and possibly 15 cm deep stream of water issued (September / October 1976) from a possibly west-facing promising 2 m square void or resurgence cave entrance: The cave was never explored (Smart, C M in: DURRANT et al. 1979: 23.8). SITUATION: North of Pokhara town and in the vicinity of the village of Battulechour (note 1), on the east [orographically left] bank of the Kali Khola which is easily forded at this point. It is by the large obvious bend in the river, immediately north of [what had been in September / October 1976] a flimsy bridge and close to a series of steps cut into the west bank. It is a favourite place for locals to make their ingenious wickerwork fish traps. Immediately to the left [sic! perhaps north] of the entrance is a man made excavation (no.4) of rock shelter size [note 2] but which, from across the river, looks more promising than the resurgence (Smart, C M in: DURRANT et al. 1979: 23.8). CAVE POTENTIAL: Resurgence Cave 5 … is the only rsurgence of note found on the east bank of the Kali Khola … (Smart, C M in: DURRANT et al. 1979: 23.8).surgence of note found on the east bank of the Kali Khola … (Smart, C M in: DURRANT et al. 1979: 23.8).
