Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A spacious, approximately west-facing cave entrance to a probably man-made rock chamber. Situated below the ruined dzong (fortress) of Lupra village. The mud walled castle towers above a shoulder which forms a gate to the upper part of the valley and controls a steep gully to the left (southern) side of the Penda Khola. The latter is a tributary from the left (east, ) to Kali Gandaki which confluences a short distance downstream of the Eklibhatti rest houses, and about halfway between Jomosom and Kagbeni.
