• Fairy Cave and Wind Cave are cave reserves located near Bau in Southern Sarawak State on the island of Borneo, Malaysia. Fairy Cave contains various entrances high on a cliff, one of which is accessible by a state-built stairway. Its entrance chamber is huge. Wind Cave is a collection of small passageways; it used to contain scaffolding built to reach bird’s nests.

• Fairy Cave and the nearby Wind Cave were among several areas in Bau used as bases by the Japanese in 1941.

Bidayuh villagers to reclaim Fairy Cave. 23/12/2020

• Residents of more than 10 Bidayuh villages are in the process of reclaiming their rights over the Fairy Cave, a popular tourist attraction in Bau. The cave and the surrounding land should be returned to the community as they could take better care of it. Fairy Cave was proposed as a national reserve, but this has yet to be gazetted.
