The suspicious place name »Kuwa Pahar« (kuva = cave, well, pothole; pahar = hill, cliff) near 24°35'30”N: 79°24'00”E: 520 m asl (Everest 1830) is indicated on the Survey of India sheet 54-P/06 (edition 1977) on a plateau within Bharatpur Reserved Forest (now within the National Park?) and at a spot which lies at linear distances of 23 km WSW (west-south-west) of Bijawar (note 1) and 61 km WSW of Khajuraho (note 2).
NOTE 1: Bijawar town, formerly headquarters of the erstwhile Bijawar State, is shown near N24°37'30”: E079°19'50” (Everest 1830) on the Survey of India sheet 54-P/10 (edition 1979). The erroneous position 24°38'N: 79°30'E (nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003) is possibly a misprinted N24°30': E079°20' (WGS84). NOTE 2: Khajuraho 24°51'N: 79°56'E (nima.mil/geonames accessed 16.11.2003), on SI sheet 54-P/09 and on AMS sheet NG44-14.
