Description
The so-called »Symbol Cave« (COCKBURN 1883b:125) or rock shelter is notable for its rock art (drawing in red pigment). SITUATION: Less than »three miles« (4.8 km) in an unspecified direction from the town of Robertsganj (note 1).
NOTE 1: Robertsganj (PTO near N24°41'10”: E083°03'45” Everest 1830) is indicated in the India Road Atlas (Eicher Goodearth 2006: 57 G1) in Sonbhadra district.
