Description

A relatively small, temple cave of unidentified dimensions and dubious nature (modified, natural or man-made cave or rock shelter) is situated at Joshimath (also: Jyotirmath N30°34': E079°34') and, to be precise, below the relatively small Shiva Mandir (temple) under the tree which is reputed to have sheltered the great Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD (some say 500 BC).
