A cave (man-made rock chamber used for religious purposes) containing one inscription (rock art: epigraphy) on the left-hand side-wall outside the verandah … and near the side of a recess over a tank. This inscription is faintly cut, on a rough surface exposed to weather, and is difficult to copy. It probably commemorates the dedication of a cave, and a tank for drinking and bathing, by some one, a householder, merchant and inhabitant of Kalyan, and by the son of some one else (WEST 1861a: 7 item 21).
