The rivulet [containing an abundant supply of water] on leaving Herar Valley is lost to sight beneath the rocks [note 1] for nearly half a mile [0.8 km or so] reappearing in a fine gushing stream at full 300 feet [91 m] of a lower level than the point of its disappearance. SITUATION: Herar is a pretty little valley about 3 miles [5 km or so] south-west of the … Danma Towers [note 2], built on a ridge of the Great Hola / Kirthar Range [note 3] are about 50 miles [80 km, probably along the road] to the south-west of Mehar [note 4].
