Description

Michael Laumanns - 28/11/2015

The cave has a large daylight pit and a 14 m long NE continuation. The pit is 10 m deep (SRT or steel rope ladder) and has an elliptical form with a longest axis of 9 m. At the SE side the roots of the surrounding trees extends into the ground of the pit. Boulders cover the bottom. At the S end a 3 m high but impassable meandering passage continues. To the N another passage leads to a chamber, whose ground is covered by guano and its roof pocket accommodates a colony of Rhinolophides. This chamber is 5 x 5 m in diameter and has a height of 5 m. Beside the above-mentioned bats various spiders, cave-crickets and a frog were observed. There are no signs of conglomerate fillings. An air temperature of 19,6°C was measured.
