Description
A relatively »small cave entrance« of unidentified size and unspecified shape was not only understood to face an unidentified direction but also to give access to an unspecified cave passage which »in 1992 was blocked a short way inside due to the activities of the large limestone quarry situated on the hillside directly above the cave« (BROOKS, S J & SMART, C M 1995: 26). IDENTITY: It seems likely that Mawmluh Cave 2 (Brooks & Smart) is either the same as Mawmluh Cave 2 (Lindenmayr) or not.SITUATION: In an unspecified »the hillside« at an unidentified elevation and at an estimated distance of unspecified 100 m (either in a direct line or along a winding route) without orientation »to the left« (note 1) of the main cave entrance (insurgence) to the –>Mawmluh Cave. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1993: »Krem Mawmluh … There is another small [cave] entrance situated some 100 metres to the left of the main sink. This was reputed to have once connected with the main cave though it [is] presently blocked a short way inside due to the activities of the large quarry situated on the hillside above the cave« (Brooks, S J 1993 s.a. Mss unpaginated page 1). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1995: »Krem Mawmluh … There is another small [cave] entrance situated in the hillside some 100 metres to the left of the main sink. This was reputed to have once connected with the main cave though in 1992 it was blocked a short way inside due to the activities of the large limestone quarry situated on the hillside directly above the cave« (BROOKS, S J & SMART, C M 1995: 26).
NOTE 1: Brooks, Smart, Harper, and Harper looked from a self-centered point of view without orientation onto the entrance of the Mawmluh Cave. Hence, they must have looked towards southeast onto the north-facing cave entrance whereupon »left« indicates a north-eastish direction.
