A relatively small pot (0.8 m wide) descends an estimated 4 m down to a base where mature person face impenetrable immature cave passages leading off. ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what Boyes, P W (2000) simply christened Quarry Hole (note 1). SITUATION: The hole is located in a small limestone quarry, which lies about 50 m west of the road from Nongtalang to Jowai, and where the track to Krem –>Umtren leaves the road (after Boyes, P W 2000.02.19 Mss: Quarry Hole 19/2/00; Boyes, P W 2000.04.21 Mss -Quarry Hole- 19/2/00 revised 21/4/00; BOYES, P W 2000 s.a.: 4, 9-10).
