Description
A collapsed cave entrance without dimensions understood Wade (2008.02.20 Mss: Rya 1) to face an unexplainable direction and to give access to an inaccessible relic cave passage (note 1), about 3 m in diameter, featuring blocks in roof and full of debris. ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi noun -ka snap- translates into a relic; remaining articles (SINGH, N 1906: 206). SITUATION: Wade (2008.02.20 Mss) places his Rya I 600 North of Krem Lum Bloh without identified spatial relation to his other -cave- at –>Rya (Wade 2008 no. 2) and up a 2 m climb but at exactly the same position (as if the two holes would occupy one and the same space) and adds for a last straw a location to west of river bend in cliff face just off footpath up a slight mud bank (literally quoted). Simon J. Brooks (undated Mss amendment to Wade 2008.02.20 Mss: Rya 1) contributes (in brackets) the interesting comment Liten Valley (note 2). POSITION: Wade (2008.02.20 Mss: Rya I 600 North of Krem Lum Bloh) appears to place his Rya 1 at a unspecified distance of 600 m north of Krem –>Lum Bloh. According to the estimated coordinates, however, Rya 1 (Wade 2008) lies 160.3 m in a direct line approximately NNE from Krem Lumbloh (note 3). CAVE DESCRIPTION: In the final analysis, this cave Needs to be climbed into and inspected. unspecified distance of 600 m north of Krem –>Lum Bloh.
