What seems to be an inhabitable -cave- or rockshelter, has been recommended as a halting place on the route from Khatmanda [note 1] to Kooti [note 2] and Shikargong [note 3] … as compiled by Colonel KIRKPATRICK, W J (1811: 320-322) between 13th February and 3rd April 1793 after orally transmitted intelligence. ETYMOLOGY: Rani-ooral (or goopah) [note 4] (KIRKPATRICK, W J 1811: 321), are spelling versions of what is currently (late 20th and early 21st century, common era) clothed in Latin letters as Rani Odar (Queen Home / Rockshelter) and Rani Gupha (Queen Cave). SITUATION: At an estimated travelling distance of 20 ghurries (note 5) or about ten hours beyond (north of) the –>Salia Odar and 4 ghurries short of (south) and below Old Kooti [note 6] (KIRKPATRICK, W J 1811: 321).
