An artificial tourist attraction made from scrab, junk and concrete, is not only the bizarre Rock Garden -- a sort of concrete maze with a lot of rocks and very little garden (note 1) or strange and whimsical fantasy and grown over the years and is now very extensive (note 2) but also features interconnected rocky grottoes (note 3) or rocky grottoes filled with hundreds of animal and humanoid figures assembled in silent armies (note 4) in addition to canyons, waterfalls, archways and walls (note 5). SITUATION 1990: On the shore of the Sukhna Lake and close to the government buildings is a not-to-be-missed attraction, the bizarre Rock Garden -- a sort of concrete maze with a lot of rocks and very little garden (LONELY PLANET, India 1990: 175; 1993: 235).
