An unspecified Alapeshor Gufa (ARYAL & DHUNGEL 2009: 12 table 1, site number 1) in an unidentified kind of host rock is classified as an unspecified cave and habitat of bats (Chiroptera). ETYMOLOGY: The meaning of the cave name -Alapeshor Gufa- (ARYAL & DHUNGEL 2009) has not yet been discovered but the ending --shor- (from the Sanskrit -ishwar- for Lord, God) seems to refer to a tutelary deity serving as a protector, guardian, or patron. SITUATION: ARYAL & DHUNGEL (2009: 12 table) locate Alapeshor Gufa at an unidentified spot (unspecified GPS position), which is said to lie at an altitude between 1450 m and 2517 m asl somewhere in the area administered by the V.D.C. (Village Development Committee) of Thuli Pokhari or Thulipokhari (note 1) in Parbat district and in the Panchase Forest and region (see –>Panchase Cave).
