Description
A man-made troglodyte settlement near Larjung village (N28°43': E083°37': 2590 m asl). Inside or in front of the rock chamber, religious ceremonies of the special Thakkali animistic variety of Buddhism take place at certain days of the twelve years the festival Lha Phewa (VINDING 1992: 92). The historical manuscript text BHURGI RHAB (s.a., in Thakkali language) relates to the festival and the history of the clans involved with the Chuksang cave.
