»Pukzing cave, which goes 25 m inside, is the biggest cave in Mizoram« (RAY 1993: 16). Ralte, ca. 1997) in the south-western corner of Aizawl West district, and on the road from Phaileng to Marpara. CAVE LEGEND: »The story goes that the cave was carved out of the hills by a very strong person who could clear hundred ranges of forest in one day. He was such a strong man that he could make the cave with only his hair pin as a tool« (RAY 1993: 16). »Pukzing Cave [is] about 25 km [sic!] wide is the biggest cave said to have been carved out using a hairpin by a sturdy man called Mualzavata« (shubhyatra.com/mizoram accessed 2005.11.09). »Pukzing Cave: Situated at Pukzing village near Marpara in the western hills within Aizawl district is the Pukzing Cave.
