DUCLUZAUX (1993: 13) interpreted dead-ice holes in holocene ablational debris as gouffres (potholes). SITUATION: Three up to 3 m deep funnel-shaped subsidence holes existed in the 1990ies at the base of a cliff somewhere in the vicinity of Thorung Phedi.
