Description
An about 5 m deep and 10 by 6 m wide pothole called Krem Rynheng (sic! for: Krem Rynghang?) appears not only to lure with a large passage leading off but also is said (Arbenz, T 2005.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls) to be somehow associated with Krem –>Shyen Khlieh. ETYMOLOGY: What is rynheng? The Khasi adjective -rynghang- means widely open, ajar (SINGH, N 1906 : 177). SITUATION (Brooks 2005 Mss: Meghalaya Diary): Very close to one of the many dozen caves called Krem Labit. APPROACH (Kharpran Daly 2005.02.11 Mss: Krem Rynheng): Go down to Krem Labit [note 1], cross over to the other side and approximately 50 m downhill to the pothole. CAVE DESCRIPTION (Kharpran Daly 2005.02.11 Mss): A pot-hole, 5 m deep, and of dimensions 10 m x 6 m. PROSPECTS 1 (Kharpran Daly 2005.02.11 Mss): Passage appears to be leading off towards north.
