Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A second natural sacred rock shelter in (gravitationally dislocated?) basaltic rock, again sacred to Jina Parshvanatha (China Parsvanatha), is situated north of the boulder Bhimbhar (south of Durga Bhagavati temple), Kolua Pahar (Kuluha Pahar) above Hatwaria village, south-east of Hunterganj. STEIN (1901: 92): Close to the west of this [the first cave of Pasarva Nath] is another small grotto containing a seated Jina in the conventional posture. As the China engraved on the pedestals is effaced, the Jina intended cannot be ascertained .
