Description
What Quentin -Cooper- Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4) considers not quite a pot consists of something like a section of a partially unroofed cave passage and suspects It is possible this may be Krem Wapong 1, but that description did not fully match what I saw. SITUATION 1: Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4) puts the cave entrance at an estimated linear distance of 6 m at 100° bearing from GPS readings (note 1) but missed the chance to place the 3rd Krem Wapong in a specified spatial relation to the 1st and 2nd Krem Wapong by putting the entrance not far from Krem Wapong 2. SITUATION 2 (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc): Not too far away [from –>Dragon Hole] in the Krem Waipong [sic! also: Wapong] area and … roughly above the western end of K.L.(M).3 (Krem Labit, Moolesngi no. 3). CAVE DESCRIPTION: Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4), literally quoted: From the top of the 'pot' or section of unroofed cave, the floor looks about 7-8 m down. There is moe howling hot steam wafting out of it. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc): One of three strong hot steaming draughting caves, that hopefully are near the Krem Labit Moolasgni [see: Krem –>Labit, Moolesngi 3] upstream inlet present terminus.CAVE CLIMATE: Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4) noticed a comparatively warm and moist air current issuing from the entrance to Krem Wapong 4.e howling hot steam wafting out of it. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc): One of three strong hot steaming draughting caves, that hopefully are near the Krem Labit Moolasgni [see: Krem –>Labit, Moolesngi 3] upstream inlet present terminus.CAVE CLIMATE: Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4) noticed a comparatively warm and moist air current issuing from the entrance to Krem Wapong 4.
History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2007.02.17: Quentin 'Cooper' Cowper (2007.02.17 Mss: Krem Wapong 4) recorded a temporarily Krem Wapong 4. Brooks, S J et al. (2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc) were told it was Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Quentin 'Cooper' Cowper and Philippa Glanvill, who went recce’ing around the Krem Waipong [sic!] area to find three strong hot steaming draughting caves [Krem Wapong 2, Krem Wapong 3, Krem Wapong 4], that hopefully are near the Krem Labit Moolasgni [i.e. Krem –>Labit Moolesngi 3] upstream inlet present terminus.
