GHAZNI - KABUL SPRING
34.000000,69.000000
Description
Peter Levi and Bruce Chatwin visited a clear water-spring … with bats and tiny frogs somewhere on the way from Ghazni to Kabul (read: close to the motorable road) while Americans were at the moon. LEVI, P (1972 edited 2000: 86) draws the attention of gentlemen with a taste for priviledges to US Americans, who were ordered to declare that all men were brothers and that it was a great priviledge to be there but refrained from telling the spring's name or whereabouts. SITUATION: At an unknown location somewhere on the road (note 1) from Ghazni (N33°33'24”: E68°25'33”, WGS84) approximately north-west to Kabul (N34°31': E69°11').
