An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to an unidentified cave (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). ETYMOLOGY: The origin, history and meaning of the cave name Krem Puri (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss) has not yet been identified. It translates as -Cave [of the] Fairy- (note 1) or Brownie, Dryad, Faerie, Fay, Elf, Houri, Huri, Nymph, Peri, Pixie, and the like (note 2). SITUATION: Unknown. Somewhere in the village of Laitsohum [note 3], which is about 5 km from Mawsynram on the way to Lawbah [note 4] (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2015.09.19: Krem Puri was said to be a bigger one with many side passages (Kharpran Daly, B D 2015.09.19 Mss). CAVE POTENTIAL: Unknown. Somewhere around is Krem –>Maduri and -- but closer to the village called after an obtrusive pig, namely Kyntursniang (25°16'30”N: 91°34'08”E) -- is a so-called Krem Kynto Sriang (nte 5) or, more likely, Krem hajan –>Kyntursniang (allegedly near ±5 m [bogus?] 25°16'27.7”N: 91°34'15.1”E: 1350 m). CULTURAL HISTORY - cave legend: Unknown.
