Description
Wave-cut notches, caves, terraces and stacks in a 5 to 100 m narrow coast (SUBBA RAO, M V 1995: 170-172) situated in the vicinity of Visakhapatnam (N17°42': E083°18') between Pudimadaka (N17°30': E083°01') in the South-west and Bhimuniputnam (also: Bheemunipatnam N17°53': E083°26') in the North-east ascribe BASKARA RAO & VAIDYANADHAN (1975) to a pronounced change in the major trend of the strata and the effect of the long shore currents and waves.
