Location

An unidentified »gusty black hole« (PRAKASH, A 1998: 30) at the monastery (note 1) of Wangdi Phodrang (note 2) emits a strong air current and is suspected to represent the inaccessible entrance to a vertical cave (pothole). The draughting hole »… provided sport to the monks who used to hurl their robes and wooden bowls into the hole. The force of the wind always spewed the articles back to surface. The truth of the story about this gusty black hole is vouched for by old locals who swear to have seen the phenomenon themselves« (PRAKASH, A 1998: 30). Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 09/02/2016
