Location
This cave is reached by walking from the Lisu village of Ban Na Lao. The walk is 1 to 2 hours long depending on how far you can get a motorbike along the track from the village. From the resurgence entranceTham Mae Nam Khong follow a fence uphill to a small gate. The lower entrance is near the gate, 2m above ground level, and has a strong draught. Going through the gate leads up to the main entrance which is home to a monk and mae chee.
Description
There are two main middle entrances, one used as a dwelling by the monk and the other is a few metres to the right and is the main way in. This middle entrance is 8m high and 5m wide with a strong draught and leads after 50m to the ascent to the upper entrance. There are a couple of loops around this first chamber and some passages off have not been explored. Continuing on from the main entrance chamber leads to a slope down into a bat chamber that has many flying beetles. By descending the slope (with care as it is slippery) and turning left one reaches a horizontal passage that leads to the lower entrance. To the right of this passage is a side passage about 50m long that is a dead end, but draughts.
