KHAIBAR CAVE 1

Description
What looks like the entrance to a cave or a rock shelter is visible somewhere -north- (east by north-east?) of Khaibar, a village (note 1) at the base of the south-west flank of Kirilgoz (note 2). Local hunters (note 3), who take refuge there, say they are spacious and disappear into total darkness towards the rear (BROOKS 1993c: 4, 1994c: 16). The Khaibar Cave 1 (Brooks) appears to be the same as the KI 2 (DUCLUZAUX 1993 MSS, 1994c: 34).SITUATION 1 (BROOKS 1993c: 4, 1994c: 16): The -first cave- is said (Mohd Hamid & Din Ali, hunters at Passu) to be situated at about a day's walking distance from the village. SITUATION 2: DUCLUZAUX (1993 Mss, 1994c: 34) positiones KI 2 at the funny but unfortunately for all practical purposes useless coordinates x = 484,1 km; y = 4048,7 km; z = 3500 m (unknown geodetic datum, unbased grid reference, unrecognised map source, unspecified altimetric method). What looks like the entrance to a cave or a rock shelter is visible somewhere -north- (east by north-east?) of Khaibar, a village (note 1) at the base of the south-west flank of Kirilgoz (note 2).
