Description
One of the possibly pothole cave entrances in a bundle of rifts, which is called something along the lines of Sort of Net-Like Stream (or so) and has been recorded under a variety of titles (), is estimated up to 8 by 20 m wide, about 10 m deep and takes a considerable flow in the rainy season (Boycott, Antony 'Tony' 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). IDENTITY: Krem Wah Ejiar (Boycott 2004) is perhaps identical with Krem Wah Eijar no. 3 (Ende 2007.02.09 Mss -Wah Ejiar 3- 09 Feb 2007) but not the same as Krem Wah Jier 2 (Ende 2007). ETYMOLOGY: The cave name Krem Wah Ijiar (note 4), also recorded as -Krem Wah Ejiar- (note 2), -Wah Eijar- (note 3) and -Krem Wah Ijar- (note 4), once had been interpreted as Filter Cave or Jar = Philtre? [note 5] (Boycott, A 2004.02.12 Mss -Krem Wah Ejiar- after Raplang Shangpliang and Bun Sukhlain). SITUATION: Follow track due east from Moo Sata across picket fence into open area (Boycott, Antony 'Tony' 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). Clear area whih has been used for crops -- flat area -- walk up slope over fence to Krem Wah Rylre [i.e. Krem –>Wah Rylien] (Anonymous, probably Jayne Stead, undated manuscript amendment to 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). APPROACH: Would need a good machete [note 6] to gain access as this site is very vegetated (Brooks, S J undated Mss amendment to Boycott, A 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). Needs machete to get to rig (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls).POSITION 1: 25°21'09.7”N: 92°31'23.8”E (Arbenz, T 2004 Mss Map of Wah Arlein Area). POSITION 2: 25°21'09.0”N: 92°31'23.7”E (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1: Krem Wah Ejiar seems to start with a pothole. Flowing in monsoon, all bamboo thrown down disappeared (Boycott, Antony 'Tony' 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2: Circa 10 m deep (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls). CAVE POTENTIAL 1: Flowing in monsoon, all bamboo thrown down disappeared. Would be difficult to rig c/o vegetation. Wortha look (Boycott, A 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar). CAVE POTENTIAL: Worth a look (Boycott, A 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar) or, if you prefer, simply not going (Brooks, S J 2004.09.23 personal correspondence) but, perhaps, hanging around.h has been used for crops -- flat area -- walk up slope over fence to Krem Wah Rylre [i.e. Krem –>Wah Rylien] (Anonymous, probably Jayne Stead, undated manuscript amendment to 2004.02.12 Mss: Krem Wah Ejiar).
