A natural spring called Pathalaganga (LONELY PLANET, South India 2001: 332). Compare the caves on the hill –>Siddharabetta, which lies on the road from Dobbaspete / Dobbspet north towards Madhugiri / Maddugiri.ETYMOLOGY: Patale Ganga translates as underground water course (river, stream, runnel).
