Location

The cave is in an isolated limestone hill between the H3228 and the river, 2 km north of the Wang Lang railway station. Park in a pleasant grass area, with a large metal roofed Sala. A friendly monk showed us up the steps to the cave entrance, switched on the lighting, and came into the first part of the cave. Martin Ellis - 29/09/2019

Description

Martin Ellis - 29/09/2019

Tham Sata Ban Khuha is an interesting maze of phreatic passage, up to 15m wide and 20m high in places. In a previous geological period, the cave probably took the full flow of the Mae Nam Kwae Noi. There was a monks retreat in one of the smaller passages. There were bats in one area, but most of the cave was clean, well lit, with interesting passage shapes.
