Description
A tiny cave sanctuary in laminated schist (Precambrian) lies about halfway between Galeshwar (Galeshvar, Jaleshor) and Kalipul (north of Beni) on the right (western) bank of Kali Gandaki valley. It shelters some speleothems (flowstone, a short calcite column), a bit of a pool and several venerated stones in a single chamber (1 m broad, 3 m long and 2 m high) of tetrahedric shape. History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1988 autumn: H. D. Gebauer noticed a locked wooden door in a wall that appeared to close the entrance to a cave. 1994 May: H. D. Gebauer found the door open and the small, walled-off room behind in an apparent state of neglect. 1996.04.22: Claude Chabert and Nicole "Niki" Boullier visited and mapped to BCRA-grade 5b.
