History
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1936; Shiba Prasad Chatterjee had noticed a rectangular doline near Bataw and further south round dolines (CHATTERJEE, S P 1936: 47). 2014.02.15: Brian D Kharpran Daly, Simon J Brooks and Fraser E Simpson drove to Bataw Village to find the headman but he was not at home. However, he was contactable by mobile and he said he did not know of any caves locally but would ask at a village meeting in a few days time (Brooks, S J et al. 2014.04.05 Mss: Diary Meghalaya 2014 Second Edit: 14th February, Saturday).
