A large sized rock cave (MARAK 2000: 52-53) possibly consists of inaccessible rock shelters (cave entrances?) similar to (or identical to) –>Goncho Dare, the natural habitats of gonchos, the evil spirits who like to take away people from their homes. ETYMOLOGY: Saram (MARAK 2000), unidentified, may derive from the Sanskrit (etc.) -surangam- (tunnel, cave). CAVE DESCRIPTION (MARAK 2000: 52-53): Cave like holes the death [more likely: depths] of which are unknown and unexplored. SITUATION: Allegedly high up in a cliff called Sogin Saram (Vulture's Home; Place where Vultures Nest), which, perhaps ––but this is mere guesswork–– may represent the east-facing cliffs forming the western walls of the -Great Canyon- of the Mahadeo River north of Balpakram / Balphakram (note 1).
