Location
North of Si Sawat to the east of the road to Tham Than Lod. The cave is signed along a dirt track that ascends to a parking area. A short walk leads to the cave.
Description
The entrance is 40 m wide and 20 m high with a large shrine. The floor is sand. After 50 m the floor rises and the passage reduces to 20 m wide by 5 m high. This passage goes past a covered hole in the floor to a 20 m drop down into a chamber after 50 m. This drop is covered with a wooden gantry. To reach the lower chamber a short crawl, marked with a buffalo skull, is found back near where the main passage reduces in size. This stooping crawl ends after 10 m in a descending chamber which is 25 m wide and 50 m long. Guano has been mined from the chamber using the wooden gantry into the upper passage. Described as a prospective archaeological site in Dunkley.
