Location
Drains a steep blind valley behind a prominent tower 600 m south-south-east of a lychee farm, 5 km north of the junction of the Song Thom and Khliti roads.
Description
In the first 500 m there is considerable speleothem development and there are some good displays of straws and very fine helictites. At one point some 400 m from the entrance there is a crawl under a forest of straws up to 50 cm long. Further in the passage has less decoration, becomes muddier and bad air is noticeable in places. Passage width is generally 2-5 m, but there is a section 10-15 m wide about two-thirds of the way in. Roof height is commonly 5-15 m, lowering to crawling size in a couple of places. Exploration terminated in a boulder collapse. The rockpile was penetrated for about 50 m without any signs of closing, but bad air was present. At this point the cave is 800 m from the Lam Khlong Ngu. Assuming the cave continues its northeasterly trend it is heading for a bend in the river at 47P 584400 1644800.
