The village Kardung is 3 or 4 miles from Bladak [4575 m asl, 24 km from Taklakot, 7 km from lake Manasarowar, 7.2 km from Gurla Phuk / Gori Udyar] … there are eight houses here mostly situated in caves and plenty of cultivation. Situated on top of a hillock is a gompa … Zorovar Singh destroyed the fort here (PRANAVANANDA 1949: 52, 122 note 2).
