NARI NALA GHARA 1
29.663600,67.892500
Description
An apparently triangular cave entrance (up to 2 m wide and more than one metre high) at a geological disturbance (approximately 135° ±15° / -75° ±5°) gives access to a crawl under boulders which leads to a high, unstable chamber with a second cave entrance in the roof. The passage can be followed at floor level until a climb over boulders leads to the upstream cave entrance in a mudstone canyon. Takes a seasonal (periodic) stream. Extremely loose throughout. SITUATION: The first cave visible on the right-hand side (east) upon walking upstream (north) from Nari Railway Station (see: Nari Nala Caves) along the Sibi-Harnai Railway Line on the left (east) bank of Nari River; about 30 m or so east of the railway tracks and about 100 estimated metre south of the second cave –>Nari Nala Ghara 2. CAVE LIFE: Geckos (Gekkonidae), mud-wasp warrens, bats (Chiroptera) and bird shit but no birds were noted.
