Description
An unspecified troglodyte -cave- or rock shelter (temple cave) associated with Haidakhanti Babaji (note 1) reported BUTALIA (2003) from the village of Haira Khan on the south-western slopes of the hill Devguru Brihaspati (note 2): In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Haidakhandi Babaji would go on foot from this gufa [Paharpani Yogini Gufa] via Kooni village [note 3] to the river, Ghatkar [note 4], three kms below which later joins the Gautumi Ganga river [note 5] in the Kumaon Kailash [note 6] region, through Nain Gaon [note 7], onto his cave at Devguru Brihaspati. There is now a road from Paharpani [note 8] to Mournaulla [note 9] and onto Bherapani [note 10] from where there is a 7 km trail to Devguru Brihaspati.
