Description
Among an unknown number of both working and abandoned mines (excavated for unidentified minerals or coal) is a relatively large, old mine of unknown age and and unspecified dimensions (Eavis R, Tringham N, and Albuica A in: anonymous Arbenz, T 2013.08.07 Mss: Meghalaya Expedition 2013 Diary: 7th February). EVALUATION: Uneducated outsiders, who were unable to distinguish the morphology of abandoned mine shafts from that of natural sinkholes, admitted only that it was difficult to tell large cave sinks from mines and solved their problem simply by stating straightforward but unfounded that They were all mines (anonymous Arbenz, T 2013.08.07 Mss: Meghalaya Expedition 2013 Diary: 7th February). SITUATION: At an unspecified location in an unidentified the valley floor of a stream with an unidentified name (anonymous Arbenz, T 2013.08.07 Mss: Meghalaya Expedition 2013 Diary: 7th February). POSITION: The attempt to record an uttermost easiest GPS position for the entrance to this large, old ine resulted in numbers which were didactically simplified to a degree resulting in the valueless assemblage N25 23 11.5, E92 34 11.0 (anonymous Arbenz, T 2013.08.07 Mss: Meghalaya Expedition 2013 Diary: 7th February).
