There is an unexplored and unidentified -Cave at the Plain / Maidan of the Forty“ situated at an unspecified location somewhere in the vicinity of the inspection bungalow near Samasi (I.B. near N25°24'01.6”: E092°32'57.4” WGS84). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi noun -ka madan- is the word for a plain, a maidan (SINGH, N 1906: 126) and -sawphew- means forty (SINGH, N 1906: 184).
