Right in the centre of town (LONELY PLANET, India 1997: 640) or, to be precise, somewhere in Bundi, the 46 m deep stepwell Ranji-ki-Baoli (LONELY PLANET, India 1999: 685) or Raniji-ki-Baori (LONELY PLANET, India 1997: 640; 2001: 580; LONELY PLANET, North India 2001: 710-711) and Ranij-ki-Baori (LONELY PLANET, India 2003: 592; 2005: 180-181) was built in 1699 by Rani Nathavatji has some fine, funkily sinuous carvings. 1997 Bundi has several impressive baoris (stepwells) right in the centre of town. The noteworthy Raniji-ki-Baori is 46 m deep and has some fine carving. It is one onf the largest of its kind, built in 1699 by Rani Nathavatji (LONELY PLANET, India 1997: 640).
