Accessible by a ledge 8 m up in a south-facing cliff face, there is a 2 m to 3 m wide and high entrance to some 16 m of NNE-SSW trending passages which gives access to too low crawls (after Laumanns 2006.03.25 cave plan: Dharichora Gupha). ETYMOLOGY: The cave name -Dhar-i-Chaura- translates as door / gate combined with something four (4), cow (cattle) or robber, thief but little doubt remains that the originally recorded Dharichora Gupha is a bit -overcaved- as both -gupha- (hiding place) and -dhar- (door, gate) mean the same, namely a cave. SITUATION: A cliff of Precambrian limestone is visible from the main road [that runs from an unspecified starting point] through Dharichora village (note 1) and towards an unidentified destination (note 2).However, the most obvious -cave entrance” that can be spotted from the road is nothing else than a shadow.
