Description
(Kaokoveld, Twyfelfontein) Located at E 01402220,9"; S 2003051,7". Formed in Damara limestone. Discovered and partly surveyed during the 1986 SASA expedition. Fully explored by SWAKNO during the 1990 Kaokoveld expedition. A 37 m drop leads into a system of SE-NW directed passages. Significant Tertiary/Pleistocene calcrete infillings. In the NW section of the cave temperatures of 30° C are common. The lower parts are regularly flooded. Plan and section according to Martini, Marais & Irish (1990).
