Description
One or several unspecified caves or rock shelters reported TILMAN (1937: 223) from Munsiari and DUCLUZAUX (1993d: 44) from Munsyandi (ou Munsiyari). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1937: A big cave (TILMAN 1937: 223) or, perhaps, a spacious, comfortable rock shelter. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1993: Numerous caves (DUCLUZAUX 1993d: 44). SITUATION: TILMAN (1937: 223) located his big cave at Munsiari on the approach to Nanda Devi (note 1), a day's march from Martoli (note 2) down the Gori gorge (note 3) and before reaching the village of Munsiari (note 4). DUCLUZAUX (1993d: 44) located his numeous caves near Munsyandi (or Munsiyari) at an unidentified distance of several kilometres above Tejam (N29°57': E080°11') and upstream of Duwti (1200 m asl) on the Main Central Thrust (MCT) where the autochthonous limestones are overlain by a calcareous nappe.One or several unspecified caves or rock shelters reported TILMAN (1937: 223) from Munsiari and DUCLUZAUX (1993d: 44) from Munsyandi (ou Munsiyari).
